SU Named Among Nation's Military Friendly Schools for 13th Year
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University has been named among the nation’s 2021 Military Friendly® Schools for the 13th consecutive year.
Honorees, according to Victory Media, “set the standard for companies and colleges demonstrating positive employment and education outcomes for veterans and their families.”
According to the Military Friendly website, SU is a “premier comprehensive Maryland public university” that seeks to “empower students with the knowledge, skills and core values that contribute to active citizenship, gainful employment and life-long learning in a democratic society and interdependent world.”
SU is one of only 740 schools featured on MilitaryFriendly.com. The list was compiled from surveys of over 8,000 institutions nationwide and opinions from student veterans.
Benchmarks examined include rates of retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment and loan default. The campus also is ranked based on academic policies and compliance, admissions and orientation, culture and commitment, financial aid and assistance, graduation and careers, and military student support and retention.
To support military connected students, SU offers a Student Military and Veterans Association and participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, an optional tuition-support component of the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill®.
