SU's Celebration of Great Composers Event February 25

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Celebration of Great Composers series continues with the lecture-concert “German Romanticism: Beauty, Passion and the Divine” 3 and 5 p.m. Sunday, February 25, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

This installment provides an educational experience and overview of German romantic composers’ piano works, including those by Schumann, Schubert, Mendelssohn and Brahms, among others. Attendees learn about the aesthetic principles of Romantic music with visiting guest pianist Kaya Manizade and local young musicians.

Sponsored by the Peter and Judy Jackson Music Program, admission is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available through SU’s online box office.
