SU's PACE Offers Issues-Based Advocacy Training

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE) hosts Issues-Based Advocacy Training Friday, April 12 in the Guerrieri Academic Commons Assembly Hall.

The event focuses on improving skills in grassroots advocacy. Outgoing Congressman John Sarbanes offers keynote remarks encouraging greater participation in policy matters. Working sessions will address “Power Analysis” and “Building a Successful Strategy.” Simulations will help attendees practice talking with legislators.

Sessions are run by senior leaders from national advocacy organizations, including Sandy Hook Promise, More Perfect Union, and Education and Children’s Policy.

Admission is free, courtesy of support from the Sarbanes Lecture Series fund and PACE Endowment, but registration is required. Registration is available at the registration page. Dinner is included in registration.
