Adventurer Cindy Ross is at SU November 11

SALISBURY, MD ---Adventurer Cindy Ross narrates an hour-long multi-media presentation about her family's five-year journey in the untamed wilderness of the American Rockies on Monday, November 11, at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall in Holloway Hall on the campus of Salisbury University.

Author of Scraping Heaven: A Family Journey Along the Continental Divide, Ross, her husband and their children, Bryce and Sierra, did the incredible. Using llamas as kid-carriers and packers and carrying supplies and diapers, they traveled by foot and tandem bicycle, braving weather extremes from glaciers and snowstorms to mud, heat waves and wind. This intrepid family used their summers remarkably while challenging the concepts of travel, family and unity.

Ross is the author of four books and hundreds of articles appearing in the Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune and other publications.

Her talk is sponsored by the SU Outdoor and Cycling clubs. Admission is free and the public is invited.
