Women in Business workshop offered November 12

SALISBURY, MD ---Salisbury University's Center for Professional Development offers the one-day workshop, "Women in Business: Finding Balance in Your Life," on Tuesday, November 12, from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on campus in the Worcester Room, Commons building.

According to Kathryn Adkins Reading, licensed clinical professional counselor and workshop leader, "Most women in our society must juggle the conflicting demands of career, home, family, self and community. Often, when a woman is feeling stressed, it is a sign that she is 'out of balance.'

"Being 'out of balance' means that she is either spending too much time doing things which are not consistent with her values and priorities, or that she is falling short in her efforts to juggle all of her responsibilities," said Reading, who will share her techniques for finding balance.

Reading is licensed by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors has her own practice located in the Downtown Plaza in Salisbury. She provides counseling to adults, teens, families and couples. In addition, she conducts workshops, training and lectures for businesses, schools and civic organizations regarding a variety of topics, including stress management, parenting skills, anger management, self-esteem, communication, women's issues and relationships.

Cost of the workshop is $90 and includes continental breakfast and lunch.
