CPD Presents Emotional Freedom Techniques Course

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Center for Professional Development sponsors a course on Energy Psychology and Emotional Freedom Techniques on Friday, September 17, from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Montgomery Room of the Commons. Veronica Correa, LCSW, of SU Counseling Services and Cynthia Howard, RN, PhD, teach the class. The course provides training in energy psychology and teaches techniques to help resolve emotional conflict. These techniques are useful for anxiety and stress by restoring the body’s balance of energy. Correa is a licensed social worker and is involved in alternative healing and trained in innovative clinical techniques and energy therapies that include Eye Movement Integration (EMI) and Emotion Free Techniques (EFT). Howard has studied and practiced many alternative healing methods such as hypnosis, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and Tapas acupressure technique. Four continuing education credits are awarded. The course is open to mental health professionals and the general public. The cost is $50 per person.
