Crisfield artist to exhibit at Salisbury University

SALISBURY, MD -- Crisfield artist Fred Ropko exhibits prints and pottery in his show, "Familiar Things," Friday, August 23,- Monday, September 30, in the Atrium Gallery of the Guerrieri University Center at Salisbury University. An opening reception is Friday, August 23, from 5-7 p.m.

Ropko has exhibited ceramic art extensively in the Maryland-D.C. area. He has shown at the Kennedy Center and Norfolk Museum in juried group shows. Having taught at the University of Maryland College Park, Catholic University of America and Salisbury University, he is retired from the University of the District of Columbia. Ropko describes his stoneware forms as inspired by the ancient Chinese and Japanese master potters.
