DeRosa Flute Recital May 6" 

SALISBURY, MD -- Salisbury State University senior music student Elena DeRosa performs a flute recital at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall. The event is free and the public is invited.

Originally an SSU nursing student, DeRosa said she found her calling in music after her involvement with SSU’s many music groups including the Wind Ensemble and the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra.

She performs Sonata in C by J. S. Bach, Sonata for Flute and Piano by Robert Mucznski, Sonata, Appasionata in F Sharp Minor by Sigfrid Karg-Albert, Concertino by Cecile Chaminade and In a Sentimental Mood by Duke Ellington.

She plans a career as a teacher.
