Early Childhood Educator Speaks at SU March 11

SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Jean Feldman, a national early childhood education consultant, visits Salisbury University Tuesday, March 11, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for a presentation on sharing best literacy practices that involve music, movement and creativity. Her topic is “Reading First, Reading Fun.”

An educator for over 30 years, Feldman is the author of several guide books and the originator of educational CDs including “Sing to Learn” and “Teaching Tunes.” She earned her undergraduate, masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Georgia and holds a Diploma for Advanced Study in Teaching from Emory University.

More than 300 teachers from Wicomico, Somerset, Worcester, Talbot, Queen Anne’s, Kent, Washington and Howard counties are expected to attend. The program will be held in Holloway Hall Auditorium and is sponsored by The Judy Center at Snow Hill Elementary School and the Lower Shore Child Care Resource Center.
