Jazz Ensemble Inaugurates Holiday Festival December 2

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Jazz Ensemble adds a mellow and progressive jazz theme to this year’s “Experience the Sound” winter performance series with its Jazz at Night concert 7:30 p.m. Thursday, December 2, in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center. Featuring student and community musicians, the concert includes lots of Latin, bebop, hard bop, cool style jazz, as well as some holiday surprises.
"We'll be hearing improvisation from several of the band members. They've been working hard in the new improv seminar we added to the ensemble class," said Dr. Jerry Tabor, director of the ensemble.
