Making Right Decisions Seminar June 13 at SU

SALISBURY, MD -- "Services Purchasing: Making the Right Decisions," a satellite seminar, is on Thursday, June 13, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Frederick Room of the Commons building at Salisbury University.

Over the past several years, purchasing departments are moving from strictly procuring goods to the tasks associated with procuring services. The seminar demonstrates how to select a service provider, draft a contract for services, write a statement of work and manage the service agreement. The panel will discuss purchasing services including consulting, leasing, utilities, travel, construction, temporary workers and information technology.

The fee for the seminar is $35 and includes a manual and lunch.

The seminar is sponsored by the Maryland Small Business Development Center Network, the Institute for Supply Management, NAPM Delmarva and Salisbury University.
