Maryalnd Geological Survey Hydrologists Speak on Shore Aquifers November 19

SALISBURY, MD---Recent water shortages on some parts of the Lower Eastern Shore have raised concerns among many residents about the state of aquifers in the area.
Maryland Geological Survey hydrologists David Andreasen and Andy Staley speak on this issue 5 p.m. Thursday November 19, in Room 243 of Salisbury University’s Henson Science Hall. Topics covered include dry wells, pollution, protection of recharge areas, salt water intrusion and the impact of rising sea level on aquifers.
