Nabb Center Hosts Genealogy Workshop September 9
SALISBURY, MD---Want to research family roots but don’t know where to begin? Salisbury University’s Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture hosts a family history workshop 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, September 9.
Drs. Clara Small and Ray Thompson, Nabb Center board members and professors of history at SU, conduct the workshop. Topics include how to start family research, sources for genealogical study, how to record an oral history, special techniques for researching African-American families and the interpretation of colonial handwriting. The workshop includes time for hands-on research.
Cost is $50 per person, $40 for students and center members. Proceeds benefit the research center. The workshop breaks for lunch.
