Peninsula Bank donates $10,000 to Perdue School of Business

SALISBURY, MD ----Peninsula Bank recently donated $10,000 to Salisbury University's Perdue School of Business to enhance the Peninsula and Mercantile Banks Scholarship Fund. The fund is designed to encourage and assist Perdue School students with participation in study-abroad seminars.

"The support we enjoy from Peninsula Bank is outstanding," said Dr. William Moore, dean of the Perdue School. "It has enabled many more students to study abroad and we know their international business education is richer for the overseas experience."

Scholarships funded by the Peninsula Bank gift typically subsidize no more than half the cost of a student's study-abroad experience. In existence since 1991, the program has helped several Perdue School students including 12 who spent winter term in England and Ireland.
