Peno Wins Bernstein Competition
SALISBURY, MD -- Adam Peno won the $5,000 first prize in the Bernstein Business Plan Competition on Saturday, May 4. His plan, The Hitch Man, Inc., was written to expand on an existing trailer sales, truck accessories and towing center in Taneytown, MD.
Jason Kogok won the $1,000 second place award for his plan, Innovative Home Creations, Inc., a general contracting business dedicated to the design and construction of custom homes with a particular focus on quality and customer service.
The competition was made possible in 1987 through a generous endowment by Richard Bernstein ’76, founder of K&L Microwave, Inc., and current CEO of BAI Aerosystems. The award encourages future entrepreneurs to thoroughly research, prepare and defend a business plan.
