SU Chamber Choir Concert, April 28

SALISBURY, MD--  The Salisbury University Chamber Choir presents its spring concert on Sunday, April 28, at 4 p.m. in Asbury United Methodist Church. The varied program has music from the Baroque, Romantic and Contemporary periods, including a selection of spirituals. Student soloists from the 43-member choir are featured and members of the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra at Salisbury University play. Dr. Michael Weber conducts. The 80-minute concert is free and the public is cordially invited.

Included in the program are Bach's Cantata BWV140 Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme and Pinkham's Wedding Cantata. Shorter pieces include Brahms' "Begrabnisgesang," Lauridsen's "Dirait-on," Clausen's "My Luve's Like a Red, Red Rose," Stroope's "Amor De Me Alma," Whitacre's "Little Birds," Hogan's "Ride on King Jesus" and "My Soul's Been Anchored in the Lord" and Hayes' "Here's One."
