Second Voices of Adoption Forum Scheduled at SU

SALISBURY, MD---In conjunction with National Adoption Awareness Month, Salisbury University provides an opportunity for those touched by adoption to speak about their experiences during its second annual Voice of Adoption open forum at 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, in the Fireside Lounge of the Guerrieri University Center.

SU Communication Arts and Theatre professors Ann Wilmer and Dennis Leoutsakas developed the program in hopes of finding connections with other members of the adoption community, including adoptees, birth parents and adoptive parents, a group commonly referred to as the adoption triad. The forum includes an informal series of readings on the subject.

Organizers hope to create a home base for people to go to feel comfortable talking about adoption experiences. There is an open invitation for readers. Those interested should contact Leoutsakas for assistance with length, style and content.
