Starting and Managing a Small Business 8-week course

SALISBURY, MD ---"Starting and Managing a Small Business," an eight-week extension of the monthly all-day seminar, "How to Start and Manage Your Own Business," meets on consecutive Wednesdays January 22 - March 12 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Salisbury University.

Discover effective techniques for successfully managing a small business. The course includes start-up and operating procedures, ownership forms of operation, sources and methods of financing, record keeping, communications, debt collection, personnel, merchandising and business continuity. The instructors discuss overcoming problems and pitfalls frequently encountered in running a small business.

The cost of the course, co-sponsored by SU's Small Business Development Center, Wor-Wic Community College and Maryland Capital Enterprises, is $84. Class location is the Power Professional Building Room 153 on SU's East Campus.
