Vietnam Multimedia Presentation November 8 

SALISBURY, MD---A group of Salisbury University faculty members will host a multimedia presentation on contemporary Vietnam as part of the  University’s Fall 2001 cultural events program on Asia.  The program will be presented on Thursday, November 8, from 5:30- 6:45 p.m. in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri Center on campus.

The presenters are all members of a group that toured Vietnam in July 2001 under the auspices of the Vietnam-USA Society, an educational and cultural organization devoted to improving Vietnam-United States relations at the person-to-person level.  The SU tour group was  comprised of Dr. Harry Basehart of  political science,  Drs. Ron Dotterer and Polly Stewart of  English, Bryan Horikami of communication arts and Dr. Greg Ference of  history. 

During the presentation the members will report on their expectations of Vietnam and on some surprising discoveries made along the way.  Slides and artifacts will be displayed and Vietnamese music played.  A sampling of Vietnamese tea will be offered.
