Keeping it Real  Talk Show Host Lecture September 12

SALISBURY, MD -- The host of Baltimore’s number one rated Sunday radio talk show, “Keeping it Real,” gives a lecture at Salisbury University on Wednesday, September 12, at 7:30 pm in Holloway Hall Auditorium. Rev. Jamal-Harrison Bryant’s message, “The Role of Generation Next,” is sponsored by the Union of African-American Students, the student chapter of the NAACP and the Black Student Advisory Committee. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.

Bryant is the founder and pastor of the Empowerment Temple AME Church in Baltimore, which currently has 1,000 members. His ministry focuses on spirituality, education, culture, politics and economics. Bryant encourages his congregation to stand up and talk about important issues. The Empowerment Temple produces a television show, “Got Power,” that is broadcasted in several states across the United States. His radio broadcast is also heard by a half million people on the continent of Africa.

Bryant’s message has been spotlighted on many media outlets including CNN, USA Today, BET and C-Span. A high school drop-out, he empowered himself to earn his GED certificate and later graduate from several well-known institutions including Morehouse College in Atlanta, where he majored in political science and international studies, and Duke University, where he earned a Master of Divinity.
