Media Violence class
SALISBURY, MD--The Lower Shore Child Care Resource Center of Salisbury University holds a class for parents and child care providers on the effects of media violence on the young child on Tuesday, March 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the center.
The program focuses on defining violence on television, discussing its effects, and showing adults how to choose appropriate shows for their children. Also discussed will be how to help children cope with the bombardment of press coverage of the September 11 attacks.
The Lower Shore Child Care Resource Center is designed to give technical assistance and educational opportunities for present and prospective child-care providers on the Lower Shore.
