Troy Outten guitar recital

SALISBURY, MD--Senior music education major Troy Outten, son of Bruce and Cecilia Outten of Pocomoke, MD, performs a classical guitar recital on Sunday, March 31, at 2 p.m. in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall at Salisbury University. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited.

Outten will perform compositions by John Dowland (1563-1626), Sylvius Leopold Weiss (1686-1750), Matteo Carcassi (1792-1853), George Friedrich Handel (1685-1759) and others. He has received training in classical guitar from Linda Winchurch and Lars Helgart.

Upon graduation in December, he plans to teach music at the middle or high school level. Outten earned a marketing degree from SU in 1998. He is married to Clara Springle.
