SU Student Government Association Hosts Annual 'Big Event' Community Cleanup

SALISBURY, MD---Approximately 130 Salisbury University students recently spent their Saturday raking leaves and performing other light yard work for campus neighbors during the SU Student Government Association’s annual Big Event community cleanup.

The volunteer effort allows students to build relationships with community members while lending a helping hand. The initiative was modified to allow organizers and participants to take precautions against COVID-19, including a streamlined check-in process, and physical distancing and face mask requirements. In all, students spruced up the properties of some 30 campus neighbors who registered for this year’s event.
