'A Retrospective Vision' of Marion Warren's work at Fulton Hall Gallery

SALISBURY, MD ---Salisbury University presents “A Retrospective Vision: The Photography of Marion E. Warren, 1939-2003,” from Friday, February 21-Friday, April 4, in Fulton Hall Gallery.

A celebrated photographer, Warren has won national acclaim for his depiction of the picturesque charm and beauty of Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay. Born in 1920 and raised in Missouri, he has lived in Annapolis since 1947. His prints have appeared in Time, Life, National Geographic and Washington Post Magazine.

“A Retrospective Vision” represents over 60 years of Warren’s photographs; his legacy is a visual journal of more than 75 black-and-white Maryland images. His work is divided into four categories: the Chesapeake Bay, architecture and industry, landscape and people.

The exhibit, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Office of Cultural Affairs and Museum Programs and a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council. Fulton Gallery hours are Tuesdays-Fridays 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and weekends noon-4 p.m.
