'Starting and Managing a Small Business' Course Begins September 20 at SU
SALISBURY, MD---The eight-week course “Starting and Managing a Small Business” is offered at Salisbury University in Room 220 of the Power Professional Building beginning Wednesday, September 20, from 6:30-8:30 pm. This course is co-sponsored by the Small Business Development Center, Wor Wic Community College and Maryland Capital Enterprises, Inc.
Each week several business professionals from the Salisbury area share their expertise on topics that are vital to small businesses. Topics include business plans, legal issues, accounting, insurance, human resources, as well as a session with SBDC resource partners.
Discover effective techniques for successfully managing a small business. Includes start-up and operating procedures, ownership forms of operation, sources and methods of financing, record keeping, communications, debt collection, personnel, merchandising and business continuity. The instructors discuss overcoming problems and pitfalls frequently encountered in running a small business.
The cost is $102 for Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset county residents. Additional fees for out-of-tri-county-area and out-of-state residents apply.
