Whisper of Angels film documentary

SALISBURY, MD--- Whispers of Angels, a film documentary on the Underground Railroad, is showing at Salisbury University on Tuesday, February 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Nanticoke Room A of the Guerrieri University Center, and Thursday, February 28, at noon in the Montgomery Room of the Commons.

The film stars Blair Underwood as William Still and Edward Asner as Thomas Garrett, both abolitionists who, with the help of Harriet Tubman and a host of unnamed others, conducted thousands of fugitive slaves along the Underground Railroad. This corridor to freedom stretched from the Eastern Shore through Delaware to the free state of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Clara L. Small, professor of history in the Fulton School of Liberal Arts, conducts a question and answer session following the 60-minute film.
